The Voltron Bicycle Contest

1. The Voltron Bicycle Contest (the "contest") is open to people of all ages with a valid Malaysia identification card.

2. Employees or agencies of Green Future Malaysia ("GFM", "We") its group companies or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Voltron Bicycle Contest may not enter the contest.

3. Entrants into the contest shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

4­­­. To be eligible for the contest, you must either;

  • Share between 1 of the 4 green personalities from the 1 Post = 1 Watt campaign. For more information, please click here.
  • Share a green growth story on social media to inspire and create awareness on the positive future impacts of going green along with the hastag, #Wattiff and #MyButterflyEffect
*Social media accounts and posts must be made public for tracking purposes

5. The winning entry* will be judged by creativity, inspiration and passion.

*Selected winners will be selected at the sole discretion of GreenTech Malaysia.

6. Participants are allowed to submit multiple entries.

7. The closing date of the contest is 23:59 on 10 September 2017.  Entries received outside this time period will not be considered.

8. One winner will be chosen from a random draw of entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The winner will be announced within 30 days from the last day of entry. Winners will be selected at the sole discretion of GreenTech Malaysia.

9. The winner will receive a Voltron Easy Go Model electric bicycle.

10. GFM accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize (including, without limitation, travel to and from the winners location).

11. The winner will be notified on social media or method of submission within 30 days from the last day of entry. If a winner does not respond to GFM within 14 days of being notified by GFM, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and GFM shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or else they will also forfeit their prize).  If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner's prize will be forfeited and GFM shall be entitled to select another winner.

12. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

13. GFM retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.

14. The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the contest and the winner shall participate in such activity on GFM's reasonable request.  The winner consents to the use by GFM and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the contest for an unlimited time, of the winner's voice, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by GFM and its related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the contest, all entrants consent to the same.

15. GFM shall use and take care of any personal information you supply and in accordance with data protection legislation.  By entering the contest, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your contest entry.

16. GFM accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the contest or accepting the prize. GFM further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's relating to or resulting from participation in the contest or accepting the prize.

17. GNM reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this contest with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of GFM in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. GFM shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

19. The contest will be governed by Malaysian law and entrants to the contest submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

Journalism Campus Contest

1. The Journalism Campus Contest (the "contest") is open to adults aged over 18 with a valid Malaysia identification card.

2. Employees or agencies of Green Future Malaysia ("GFM", "We") its group companies or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Journalism Campus Contest may not enter the contest.

3. Entrants into the contest shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

4­­­. To be eligible for the contest, participants must blog or put up a social media post on their Notes from the Green Future (i.e. ideas on how to create a Green Future). Each social media or blog post has to include the hashtags #MyButterflyEffect or #Wattif

5. Participants must also submit their entries to inspire@greenfuturemalaysia.com which entails a snapshot of their social media entry or a link to their blog. Entry must include: Full name, mobile number, link to/screen shot of social media or blog post.

6. The winning entry* will be judged by inspiration, creativity and knowledge.

*Selected winners will be selected at the sole discretion of GreenTech Malaysia.

10. The winner will receive a 3D2N Penang Tour for 2 persons. Costs covered by GFM will include:

  • Halfday Penang Tour – Reclining Buddha, Burmese Temple, Penang Peranakan Mansion and Heritage Street Art
  • Return Flight from Kuala Lumpur – Penang – Kuala Lumpur
  • Daily breakfast
  • Transport as per itinerary
  • Airport transfers
  • All entrance as per itinerary

Costs to be borne by winner will include:

  • Airfare surplus (If travelling from outside of Kuala Lumpur)
  • Personal expenses
  • Meals except stated in itinerary
*Please bear in mind the package is for 2 persons only and only applicable for low seasons. Surchage will apply for peak seasons. Package is valid until 31 March 2018.
